Wolf, Lucien
(1857-1930)
   English historian, journalist and communal worker. He was born in London. He was foreign editor of the Daily Graphic (from 1890) and editor of the Jewish World (1906-8), and also edited the periodical Darkest Russia. In 1917 he became Secretary of the Joint Foreign Committee of the Board of Deputies of British Jews and the Anglo-Jewish Association. After World War I he attended the Paris Peace Conference in 1919. He published articles and works dealing with the period between the expulsion and resettlement of English Jewry (c. 1290-1650) and with the mission of Manasseh ben Israel to Oliver Cromwell.
